• Aseprite Compatibility: Aseprite imports .pal (JASC-PAL) and .gpl (GIMP Palette) formats natively via Preset Palette Options > Load Palette.

• Binary .ase sprite format is not generated directly; standard palette files are fully compatible.

How to import into Aseprite

  1. Download the palette as .pal (JASC-PAL) or .gpl (GIMP Palette).
  2. Open Aseprite.
  3. In the Palette panel (left or top), click the Options menu (hamburger icon / hamburger button on palette bar).
  4. Select Load Palette and choose the downloaded file.
